At Ivy Primary Prep we understand every parent's concern surrounding school openings amongst the Covid-19 pandemic. While this crisis has brought unprecedented challenges, we’re humbled to be a part of the solution in building the classrooms of tomorrow. Our brand new facility was designed with our Little Ivies health and safety as our #1 priority.
Mask Requirement
Everyone above the age of two must wear a face mask while at school. Masks may only be removed during designated activities such as lunch and when social distancing (6 ft) can be guaranteed.
Health Screenings
Health screenings including temperature checks will be conducted upon arrival and dismissal. In addition, all staff and Little Ivies will have their temperatures checked prior to lunch.
Small Class Size
Our classrooms have a maximum capacity of 10 students to ensure social distancing. Students are assigned to a different themed classroom each week, allowing time in between day sessions for cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
Social Distancing
The furniture set-up in our classrooms allows for social distancing in the maximum extent practiceble within each classroom, including desks being 6 ft apart.
Sanitation Procedures
All toys, classroom furniture, doorknobs, light switches, tabletops, and restrooms will be cleaned throughout the day to ensure all DOH standards are met. All classrooms will also go through a deep cleaning process at the end of the day.
About Our Facility
Our brand new center is equipped with an intricate ventilation system that cycles in fresh air from the outside rather than recycling air. Each classroom is designed with individualized desk space to ensure social distancing and minimize physical interaction amongst students.
Mechanically speaking, our school has been zoned off into discrete sectors, with dedicated fresh air intake and energy recovery ventilators to provide an additional layer of filtration. As the air flows past our ventilators, positive and negative ions actively purify the supply air, killing mold bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space. The ionization process also reduces allergens and other particles (no more sunbeams) in the air without creating ozone or any harmful byproducts.
